I grew up in a family that owned and operated a Real Estate business, and I quickly developed an interest in the industry amid constant discussions of all phases of buying and selling real estate at every family gathering. This immersion gave me the ability to learn how complicated deals really get done beyond the typical basic procedural steps.

Since graduating from college here in central Vermont, I decided to build my home, family and work life in Killington. I have been with Killington Valley Real Estate since 2003, that along with living and working in the outdoor recreation mecca of Killington allows me to enjoy an adventure-based lifestyle while constantly expanding my knowledge of the area and the current real estate market, and growing my business. Today I successfully serve my clients in all phases of the purchase and sales process and as a Green Mountain lifestyle concierge.

I provide clients seeking property with information and details that go far beyond listing data, and for current homeowners who are entering the market as sellers, I increase the quality of their listings and provide guidelines for successful sales of their property. My experience covers land and real property, primary and second homes, sales and rentals of investment property. Cathy Quaglia and her husband Lee moved to Killington, Vermont in 1975, and founded Aspen East Ski Shop, which evolved from a small ski tuning and repair shop to a full-service retail business, awarded Top Shop in the country by SKI Magazine for years and Gold Medal for Best Ski Shop in the Northeast. Adding Surf the Earth Snowboards to the mix, online stores, and building their new 9,800 square foot store, still doesn’t stop them from getting out on the mountain mid-week to enjoy the snow with their friends and customers. Cathy taught skiing those early years as a PSIA certified instructor, then became a Broker with The Performance Group Real Estate, during Killington resort’s growth years and real estate development. She earned the designation, GRI, Graduate Realtors Institute member in 1980.

After more than a decade of success providing executive support in the investment management industry in the Boston area, Laura looks forward to directing her client-focused mindset and keen eye for detail toward her new role at one of Killington’s

premier agencies.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Laura holds a BS in Marketing with a minor in Communications from Plymouth State University (formerly Plymouth State College).Laura, her husband Arra, and their three children recently moved to Killington,and have quickly immersed themselves in Killington’s vibrantand engaging community. In addition to her work with Killington Valley Real Estate, Laura works part time at Killington Daycare and as a substitute teacher at Killington Elementary School, where she also volunteers with the Trailblazers youth ski program.

Her three children attend Killington Elementary School, and actively participate in the Pico Ski Team, the Killington Sharks Swim Team, and the local youth soccer and baseball programs. The Derderian family belongs to the Pico Ski Club, and Laura and her husband were instrumental in the recent development and construction of the ice rink on River Road. I have called Vermont home for over 30 years, having moved to the Killington area in the fall of 1991. I came to Killington for the same reasons that a lot of people choose to move here: the best skiing in the East, the healthy outdoor life-style and the superior quality of life. I spent my first thirteen years in Vermont working for Killington Resort in sales and marketing. Working for Killington and interacting with people from all over the world was what really hooked me on the area. After thirteen years of selling Killington Resort, I decided to start my real estate career in 2004. For almost 20 years I have had the pleasure of being able to assist friends, locals and visitors with all of their real estate needs. Exciting times are on the horizon for the entire Killington area with the long-awaited Six Peaks at Killington Village development. Bret has been handling all of my real estate needs for a number of years. When I was a landlord he would let me know of any changes in the rental market so I could adjust the rent I would ask. I have known Bret Williamson since about 2018. He helped me with a house that I had under contract in 2019 but did not end up buying. He helped me again with purchasing a house in 2023. He has shown me multiple properties in the meantime. He is reliable, takes his job seriously, comes prepared, is honest, and does his job well.
